Water damage in stairwell of Evergreen hotel

After pipes burst during the night in a local Evergreen hotel, hotel management called SERVPRO of Golden, Wheat Ridge and Evergreen to handle the cleanup. We were onsite right away to extract the water from the carpet and set up our drying equipment. In instances of excessive water, drywall begins to absorb the moisture, wicking above the original water line.  Once drywall becomes wet it is necessary to remove it so the room can dry.  Our quick response time limited the damage to this hotel. Our work to assure the site dried quickly allowed the hotel to move on to repair work and get back to business as usual.
